Our Founder

Hello! I am Terrilynn Cook, founder and Executive Director of The 2911 Foundation.

As a young single mother, I faced moments of uncertainty, trying to hold things together for my child without having the day-to-day support I needed. Born in Toledo, but raising my son between Virginia and Charlotte, I remember how hard it was to navigate those seasons while still believing my story wasn't over.  I wanted to build a place where women and their children are seen, cared for, and surrounded by people who believe in their future.  Something I struggled with as a young mother.  

I created The 2911 Foundation because I wanted to give other mothers what I struggled to find; real, consistent support that goes beyond a one time referral. Each part of this organization is being built with intention because I know how much strength it takes to start over.  However, with the right tools and the right people in your corner, stability is possible,  legacy is attainable and hope is promised!
